In the Summer of 2017 Univ of MD at College Park is running

REU-CAAR

Research Experience for Undergraduates on
Combinatorial and Algorithms Applied to Real Problems

Its a 10 week program where students live and bond at the University of Maryland
and get 5000 stipend and free room and board.

All of the projects bridge the gap between theory and practice.
In particular the projects are on:

Quantum Computing!
Cryptography!
Mathematics of Kidney Exchange!
Machine Learning for Nat Lang Processing!
Database Query Optimization!
Game Theory!
Image Processing!
Neural Nets!
