Front-End Software Development Project with Early-Stage Startup

If you dream in code and wonder how you could change the world with it, also if you’re eager to learn and work with new front-end technologies, an experiential learning project with an innovative and new company is offering students the chance to participate in the launch of a new product in e-commerce. The project provides an opportunity to work with leading developers and entrepreneurs helping transform how people do business online.

You will work on real projects that will help small businesses grow to their full potential. We are passionate about the technologies we use and the people we work with; Our ideal candidate is someone who can learn something out of any situation.

You’ll be working directly with our lead front and back-end developers on this project. Please look over the following responsibilities and requirements we are looking for. Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Develop UI features from prototypes or PSDs

  • Integrate RESTful APIs with the front-end

  • Unit testing

  • Cross-browser testing

  • Bug fixing

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • A desire to learn about how startups and small businesses operate

  • Other projects as assigned

  • Ability to work part-time – 20 hours per week

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • JavaScript

  • Angular Experience (or similar frameworks like React)

  • HTML

  • CSS/SCSS (css pre-processors)

  • Grunt/Gulp

  • Jasmine/Karma

  • An eye for design

  • High-level knowledge of backend systems (how do API’s work?)

  • Friendly and Approachable
