The time has come again for the IMFT Tech Talks.  We would like to ask your help in spreading the word to faculty and students. Here is a brief summary of the event:

 

Topic:

Where do we go from here?

• How does Moore’s law apply beyond 20 nm?

 

Background:

Intel Co-founder Gordon Moore noted that the number of transistors on an integrated circuit doubled every two years

• How do we make memory more dense without running into fundamental physical limitations?
• Will Moore’s law continue to be true for memory over the next decade?

 

 

Tech Talks Timeline:

Wednesday Jan 25^th – Abstracts Due

Friday Jan 27^th – Deadline for us to determine the 2 winning abstracts and who will present

Wednesday Feb 1^st 6:00 PM – Tech Talk Presentations
