Science Fair Needs Judges – March 24-26

The 2015 Salt Lake Valley Science and Engineering Fair (SLVSEF) is just 19 days away and will be held on March 24-26, 2015 at Rice Eccles Stadium. Elementary division students will be judged on Wednesday, March 25th and Secondary division students will be judged on Thursday, March 26th. SLVSEF needs 250 judges to make sure that each student is judged the number of times needed. As a judge, you will be assigned to a student who has done research in an area that you are comfortable and familiar with. If you are able to judge, please register athttp://slvsef.org/judges/register If you are unable to judge, I would greatly appreciate it if you would forward this email to your friends and colleagues to see if they are available to serve as a judge this year.
New judges are encouraged to attend a judge training. Four sessions will be offered with each session running about 60 minutes. The Salt Lake training will be held on Wednesday, March 18th at 4:00 or 5:30 p.m. at the Salt Lake Center for Science Education at 1400 West Goodwin Avenue (1145 North) in Salt Lake City. There will also be a training held at BYU on Thursday, March 12th at the BYU Conference Center at 770 East University Parkway in Provo at 4:00 and 6:00.
