Travis Martin

I'm an Assistant Professor (Lecturer) in University of Utah's School of Computing.

I focus on computer science undergraduate education. I'm also interested in computer science theory and its applications, especially machine learning, network science, graph algorithms and mechanism design. Note: I'm not supervising undergraduate or graduate research at this time.

Previously, I was a Software Engineer at Recursion Pharmaceuticals, working at the intersection of data engineering and biology. Before that, I was a Software Engineer at Google in the Research & Machine Intelligence division, building on-device ML into Android.

I completed my CSE PhD at UMich in June 2016, advised by Mark Newman and Mike Wellman. Check out my code or (out of date) CV!
