CS 2010 Lab 1 Instructor Plan

1. Get everyone logged in
2. Show them how to start DrScheme
3. Show them how to install the handin button
4. Create handin accounts
5. Write number programs:
   • double : num -> num[successful handin requires this one]
   • f2c : num -> num
   If things are going well, give the stdents time to try to write the second on their own.
6. Show them how to install hw-specific support
7. Write image program
   • holey-square : num -> image[again, handin requires this one]
8. Try to handin, but it doesn't matter if they don't manage to handin for this lab

Along the way, clarify how often they have to do the above steps:

• install handin for a new lab or their own machine
• never create a handin account again (I'll disable creation next week)
• install per-hw support per-hw, when necessary
