[Forwarded message from Matthew Flatt] Re: forwarded message fromJacques Herry (fwd)

Dear Matthew and Jacques,
We are much interested in having a descent MIDI extension to Dr. Scheme.
We are going to teach a course entitled "Structure and Interpretation of
Music Concepts", that clearly follows SICP in teh CS department in CMU, in
the coming fall semester.

Currently, we have a limited MIDI extension, done by Ittai. We would
much appreciate any information taht you have.

many thanks,
Mira

This is a forwarded-forwarded message from someone that you might want
to contact...

Hi Jacques,

At the moment, gcc and msvc are the only supported compilers. Support
for Borland and lcc probably is probably just a matter of determining
the right compiler and linker flags to generate a DLL. Finding the
right combination is usually not easy, though.

Does anyone on the plt-scheme list (cc'ed) have experience building
extensions with those tools?

If no one has any immediate answers, are there any volunteers who would
be willing to help make mzc talk to Borland, lcc, or both? Just changes
to the "dynext" collection, I think.

Thanks,
Matthew
