It's worth noting, however, that while jpeg files are smaller on 
disk, they're still the same size in memory; like most other 
applications, DrScheme expands jpeg files into bitmaps in memory for 
easier display.  The upshot of this is that jpeg support doesn't seem 
like much of a win for you, unless you're short on disk space.

Of course, they do make for shorter download times, too.
