I'll assume you are using the latest version (v1.0.2)...  Oops, I see
1.0.2 in the output you sent.  Nevermind.

What JVM are using and on what OS?

We've had reports of this problem in the past, but I haven't been able 
to duplicate it.  It looks like a race condition between some of the
initial setup and the first application thread (though I'm not sure
how that can happen...).

Do the initial './check' tests pass?

You can run with debugging printfs enabled, that might give us a
better idea about what is going on...  The shell script 'ping.start'
in the janos/java/antsr/apps/ping/ directory is probably a bit easier
to hack on than the regression test script.

Edit that script so that the third JVM (the one that's blowing up) has 
-Djanos.debugFlags=ALL on its command line.  If you could send that to 
me (privately) I can look into the problem a bit more.
