We have Kaffe ported to the NodeOS threading and synchronization APIs,
so it "runs" on the NodeOS.  But, most of the interesting NodeOS
interfaces are not yet exposed directly to Java.

Its not a requirement.  We don't envision a GUI running on our
routers.  GUI management apps will most likely communicate with the
router via SNMP or the like.

That said, whatever work you do on Kaffe to get it to work better in
small-memory systems would be greatly appreciated (by ourselves and
the rest of the Kaffe folks, too).  I'm sure a port to a new window
system will also be appreciated by others in the Kaffe community.
