Problem with ./check
I'm baaack...
I was able to ./configure and ./build alright, but there's no -u option on
Solaris' diff.:
> [ ~/utah-2.14.2000/janos-20000214 109 ] ./check
>make: Entering directory `/home/lewis/utah-2.14.2000/janos-20000214/test'
>[Making check in java/]
>make[1]: Entering directory
>`/home/lewis/utah-2.14.2000/janos-20000214/test/java'
> Running test HelloWorld-default-debug...
>diff: illegal option -- u
>usage: diff [-bitw] [-c | -e | -f | -h | -n] file1 file2
> diff [-bitw] [-C number] file1 file2
> diff [-bitw] [-D string] file1 file2
> diff [-bitw] [-c | -e | -f | -h | -n] [-l] [-r] [-s] [-S name]
>directory1 directory2
> ok.
Here's the plaform data:
> [ ~/utah-2.14.2000/janos-20000214 110 ] uname -a
>SunOS banjo 5.7 Generic_106541-08 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-5_10
>
Here's proving I'm not using the 'wrong' diff:
> [banjo /home/lewis 101] which diff
>/bin/diff
> [banjo /home/lewis 102] find / -name diff -print
>/usr/bin/diff
>/usr/local/src/BIND-old/src/port/winnt/include/diff
>/usr/local/src/BIND-old/src/port/winnt/libbind/diff
>/usr/local/src/cvs-1.10.5/diff
>/usr/local/src/BIND-8.2.2/src/port/winnt/include/diff
>/usr/local/src/BIND-8.2.2/src/port/winnt/libbind/diff
(cut out all the illegal accesses...)
Here's the man diff synopsis:
>SYNOPSIS
> diff [ -bitw ] [-c | -e | -f | -h | -n ] file1 file2
>
> diff [ -bitw ] [ -C number ] file1 file2
>
> diff [ -bitw ] [ -D string ] file1 file2
>
> diff [ -bitw ] [-c | -e | -f | -h | -n ] [ -l ] [ -r
> ] [ -s ] [ -S name ] directory1 directory2

This may be more that you want to know, but after the make version problem
on Solaris 7, I'ma bit paranoid.
