Call for Papers The 16th International Conference on Distributed Computing Systems Hong Kong, May 27-30, 1996 The purpose of this conference is to bring together developers and researchers from universities, industry and government to advance the science and technology in distributed computing. The technical areas of the conference include: * Distributed Operating Systems * Distributed Databases and Information Systems * Communication Protocols * Distributed Real-Time Systems * Languages, Tools and Software Engineering * Computer Architecture and Interconnection * Distributed Resource Management and Scheduling * Mobile Computing * Fault Tolerance, Availability and Security * Performance of Distributed Systems * Distributed Algorithms and Applications Papers in these and related areas are sought. Of particular interest are papers which address experiences with concrete distributed systems and applications, and the impact of user/system mobility and multimedia requirements on distributed system structure and algorithms. Information for Authors Authors are requested to submit six copies of double-spaced manuscripts, 5,000 words or less with abstract, to one of the program co-chairs by October 15, 1995. The submission letter should indicate which technical area is most relevant to the paper. Authors will be notified of acceptance by February 1, 1996. Final, camera-ready manuscripts will be due by March 15, 1996. Outstanding papers will be eligible for publication in IEEE Computer Society/IEEE journals.
